Sexual Discrimination

Hello classmate

I will now refer to sexual discrimination at work.

In today's world sex discrimination occurs in all types of work context. It involves different or discriminatory treatment because of some features such as color, sexual choice, disability, gender and more. The discrimination reinforces inequalities, often limiting their development worker Cadre.

The discrimination by gender is present in the wage gap, lower remuneration for women in relation to men jobs in the same position even when it comes to positions of greater care responsibilities.

This inequality is due to the higher costs that the employer contracts for permits that occur in time of pregnancy. This explanation is even more sexist, more aware that economic justification, the low valuation of the role of women in society, which in my opinion - not only because I miss being a woman - is very important since it is responsible for "giving birth" to society.

In another environment aspiration to jobs with more responsibility, often the same women are the highest ranking dread having within a company, for what little credibility you may have to it, which leads to greater sacrifices of these to be respected by man power position within society. And it is these roles pampering "sexist" male breadwinner and female housewife, and responsible for the education of children, which makes women with greater responsibilities within a company feel undermined by fully complying in sacrificing work childcare and house.

The elimination of discrimination in the workplace is essential to social justice, where everyone has equal opportunities in work or looking for this. This social justice is essential to the solution of social problems beyond just discrimination by gender, can aspire to the diminution of poverty, better education, and sustainable development for the country.

Picorocos Punch in Talcahuano

Hello classmates, today I will write about how I came to know Picorocos punch in Talcahuano.

In my second year of university I went to Concepcion, to a national meeting of geography’ students performed at the University of Concepcion, which I assisted with classmates from all generations of the career. At this time I and my group of classmates went to see the Huascar ship to Talcahuano.

When we went to Huascar we got on a raft that transfer us to the ship, where we were jumping and screaming "Huascar, Huascar ..." until someone tell us off, because this unbalanced  the raft while we had to cross the water, and on silent to avoid disturbing other visitors. Inside the ship I could travel the cabins and dining rooms of seafarers and admirals, where stood the cabin of Admiral Miguel Grau.

After visiting the Huascar we went to eat seafood empanadas to the sea market. In this place the people offered us Picorocos punch, which all sampled to know how it was; I drank just a little, for fear of getting sick of the stomach.

This is a traditional drink in Talcahuano, because is part of the local artisanal fishermen, and performs various seafood punch, urchins, shrimp, piure, etc…

My experience of living in Santiago

Hello classmates

Today I will talk about Santiago, one where I was born, grew up and have lived almost 27 years, I say almost because I lived three years in Valparaiso, where I studied graphic design.

Because of the experience of living in another city, the opinion that today I have about my hometown.

For 7 or 8 years Santiago do not like, before I had an opinion about it as clearly knew not life elsewhere, did not have the expertise to criticize the place where he was living.

If today Santiago do not like is because of the uneasiness with which we live every day, way too large distances, wasted a lot of time to travel these distances, and crime. and as a result people go hurry, moody and everything begins to fight the unknown side.

One of the solutions to mitigate the bad things out of the city I think is to live in the center of it, in a way of being close to everything, but in this case we have another problem, space in general to live in Santiago center only you can choose an apartment, and I love my house with a yard on the other side is the noise pollution, much vehicular traffic, construction noise at the sides.

In short, despite all the bad characteristics I mentioned in Santiago, not to say other than layers of seeing all the good things in Santiago can have access to everything, both commercial, cultural, educational, etc.. and today the reason I still live in this city is about education, but I intend to go and live in any region, where you have work, after finishing my degree, because I think that even with all the services you can offer Santiago not worth it in exchange for a quiet life.
